Here’s the complete, detailed version of our pricing and policies for your records.

Written Estimate

​

We will provide a written estimate of charges based on the details you share and, when possible, a visual inspection of your items (in-person or virtual). This estimate includes transportation, crew time, travel, and any known add-ons.

Our standard estimate is non-binding unless otherwise specified in writing. The final cost is based on actual time, services performed, and any additional items or challenges encountered (always discussed and approved in real time per our No-Surprise Guarantee).

How Pricing Works

​

Our pricing is based on crew size, with a focus on efficiency. We include the truck, equipment, and crew. Time starts when the crew arrives at your first location and ends when the job is complete (including travel between locations if applicable). The clock pauses for any crew breaks. Most local moves finish in 2–4 hours, with total costs usually ranging from $350–$875 plus travel, depending on size and access. We’ll always discuss any changes in real time and get your approval before proceeding.

Hourly Rates

​

• Small Move Crew (2 Movers): $175/hour

• Standard Crew (3 Movers): $225/hour (recommended for most moves)

• Premium Large Move Crew (4 Movers): $285/hour

• 2 Hour minimum for all moves

• No stair fees

​

Travel Fees

​

• Fayette County: $50 per truck

• Outside Fayette County: $2.50/mile (round trip), per truck

 

Heavy Items Requiring Extra Horsepower:

​

• 300–600 lbs: $125 per item

• 600+ lbs: $175 per item

Includes items like pianos and gun safes, art pieces, etc.

Examples include pianos, gun safes, and large specialty items. 

Not all heavy items incur a fee - we’ll always confirm with you in advance.

 

 

Deposits & Scheduling

A 20% deposit secures your move date and crew

• 48+ hours notice: Free rescheduling

• Less than 48 hours: $25 rescheduling fee

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may forfeit the deposit

 

 

Payment

​

We accept cash, check (local only), or card (3% fee)

Checks are not accepted for load-only jobs or moves ending at storage units

A 6% Kentucky sales tax will be applied

• Any unpaid balances may be subject to additional collection costs

 

 

Coverage Options

​

We take great care to protect your belongings and property. Standard coverage is included with every move, with an additional protection option available

​

•Standard Coverage: $0.60 per pound or $60 per item (this is the standard minimum coverage required for household goods movers in Kentucky)

​

• Thoroughbred Protection Plan (Premier Coverage): $200 per truck load, covering up to $5 per pound or $500 per item

• Additional items or packing needs

• Any condition that may affect your final cost

 

When this happens, we’ll:

• Clearly explain what we’re seeing

• Provide an updated time and cost range

• Give you options to stay on budget or continue

Any additional time is always approved by you before proceed

 

You stay in control from start to finish - no surprises at the finish line.

 

 

Before We Arrive

​

We will provide a clear arrival window before your move. If anything changes, we’ll update you before that window passes, so you’re never left guessing when your crew will arrive

• All items should be properly packed and ready.

• Disconnect fridge water lines.

• Let us know about stairs, tight spaces, long carries, parking needs, or other access

  challenges.

• In busy areas, reserving a parking spot for the truck helps keep your move on schedule

• We do not drive trucks on grass, dirt, or off-road surfaces.

• We specialize in loading, transport, and unloading (full packing services not currently offered).

•We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or damage to items packed by the customer

Items We Do Not Move

​

We reserve the right to decline any item that may pose a safety risk or potential damage to property or equipment

• Pool tables, hot tubs, grand/baby grand pianos

• Gym equipment that hasn’t been disassembled

• Riding lawn mowers, fish tanks

• Firearms/ammunition, propane tanks, fireworks, hazardous materials, pets, illegal items, 

  high-value cash/personal items

 

 

Storage

​

We do not provide storage. Please arrange separately if needed.

Final Walkthrough

​

At the end of your move, we’ll do a walkthrough with you to ensure everything is placed correctly. Any needed adjustments will be handled before we leave.
